CLD, CLC – Certified Labor Doula & Lactation Counselor
I have always been passionate about supporting woman through all of our various seasons and cycles of life. For many years I created wedding gowns using hemp/silk fabrics, striving to create custom ceremonial gowns that made each wearer feel and embody their true beauty within, while also being conscious of the environmental impact that the creation of fabrics have on our precious Earth. I was so lucky to create those dresses as my children grew up beside me, coloring or playing at my feet while I cut and stitched and prayed over each gown. As my own children grew and matured , I became drawn to Birth work , and have been blessed to learn from each family I have been honored to accompany on their journey of becoming new parents. My first Doula certification was with Cappa, and soon thereafter I was also certified as a Full Spectrum Community Doula through Tewa Woman United. I recently became a CLC, and am excited to offer breast/chest feeding support to those families who choose to feed their babies at the breast/chest. I continue to expand my learning through additional trainings ( FAN, COS, post partum support trainings) and look forward to learning and growing from each family I work with.
